After the graduation of Japanese language, Nepalese students have following options.

Vocational Academy

Vocational academy, where we can study practical subjects like Interior Design, Fashion Design, Electrical Engineering, IT, Hotel Management, Travel & Tourism, Automobiles and many more which last 2 year to Advanced Diploma of 4 years. Most of Nepalese students enroll in Vocational Academy.

University

If students have passed High School from Nepal, they can join Bachelor of 4 years course having major subjects as they like but only few of Nepalese students enroll in Universities.  

Junior College

Japan has many junior college, where students can study Associate Degree of 2-3 years course. After the completion of Associate Degree, they can join Bachelor’s Degree of 2 years course, which is known as Advanced Course. Many Nepalese students do not know about this course type so Nepalese students who join Junior College, can be counted in fingers.

Return Home

If Nepalese students do not want to stay any further in Japan they can return to Nepal, after the completion of Japanese Language.

Work Permit

Nepalese students who have passed Bachelor in Nepal having Management faculty,they can apply to work permit in Japan but at least they should have passed N3 to increase the Visa Possibilities.

What kind of University or Vocational School to be joined in Japan?

After the completion of Japanese Language Course, students should join in University/Technical Institute or if it is possible and requirements are met can apply to work permit. However, they can also return to Nepal if they do not want to stay anymore in Japan. However, if students want to join University or Technical Institute and Junior College, it should be chosen wisely through point of view work permit as well following points:

Recognition/Affiliation/Accreditation

  • Recognition: Recognition means existence, validity or legality of any University or Colleges. Whether University/College is legally established or not is very important, otherwise other countries and universities will not accept the certificate we receive of graduation. For example: to open any school or college in Nepal, Firstly, it need to be registered at Company Registrar and PAN. Secondly, it need to be approved by District Education Office. This is the legal existence of any School/College, which is very important.
  • Affiliation: affiliation is officially attached or associated with any related organization. Referring previous example: When school/college is established, it need to be officially attached with any Organization to run the courses. In context of Nepal, most of colleges are affiliated to Tribhuvan University, which run the courses prescribed by Tribhuvan University. Now, colleges can be affiliated to Purbanchal University, Kathmandu University or other universities. Therefore, affiliation is also very important, while choosing the college or universities.
  • Accreditation: Accreditation indicates the quality assurance. It means the courses or service delivered by any college/university is highly excellence. In context of Nepal, University Grant Commission, Ministry of Education accredits the collge and university as well other related Organization like Medical Council, Nepal Nursing Council/ Nepal Bar Council/ Nepal engineering Council accredits as well provide the License. For reference: if students could not pass the exam held by Nepal Medical Council, any students could not be doctor though they have passed MBBS.
